| Abstract: | O objeto deste trabalho consiste em um esforço intelectual para expor esistematizar a prática profissional do Serviço Social na saúde pública do Recife- PE em sua relação com a dimensão ético-politica da profissão, levando emconsideração a importância e a contemporaneidade desse debate para acategoria.Nesse sentido, a produção teórica resulta da investigação da práticado Serviço Social em 5 hospitais de grande porte do Recife, onde seconfrontou a proposta hegemônica de atuação da categoria, expressa tanto noprojeto ético-político profissional quanto no Código de Ética de 1993 doServiço Social com a prática cotidiana. No estudo percebeu-se que asassistentes sociais têm considerado que a ética profissional é importante paraa prática e que ela é norteadora dos trabalhos, no entanto nota-se umconhecimento ainda muito superficial sobre o Código de Ética e uma nãointerlocução das múltiplas relações a que o projeto ético inspira.Em outrostermos, não existe por parte da maioria das profissionais uma reflexão eanálise sobre o exercício profissional o que impossibilita muitas vezes um tratocrítico e qualificado às necessidades da modernidade. Nesse sentido,percebe-se que a implementação do projeto ético-político, bem como dosprincípios do Código de 1993, apesar de estarem presentes na práticacotidiana das assistentes sociais entrevistadas, apresenta-se de formaindireta, e ainda insuficiente.Finalmente, ao refletir sobre essa questão,vislumbra-se um enorme desafio à categoria, pois as relações sociaispredominantes na sociedade capitalista: discriminação, autoritarismo,exclusão, individualismo, desigualdades, etc., refletidas no espaço institucionaldemandam um profissional antenado às contradições do real, às mudançassocietárias, que esteja qualificado e com a capacidade de buscar alternativaspara a superação da ordem burguesa.
The object of this work consists of an intellectual effort to display and systemizethe professional practice of the Social Work in the public health of Recife - PEin relation to the ethical-politicians dimension of the profession, take intoconsideration the importance and the modernity of this debate for the category.In this direction, the theoretical production results of the inquiry of the practicalone of the Social Work in 5 hospitals of great importance in Recife, where therewas a confront of the hegemonic proposal of the performance of the category,express either in the ethical-politic project professional as well as in the Codeof Ethics of 1993 of the practical Social Work with the daily practice. In thestudy realizes that the social workers have considered that the professionalethics is important for the practice and that it is underline the work, howeverone notice a still very superficial knowledge on the Code of Ethics and not aninterlocution of the multiple relations that the ethical project inspires. In theother hand, it doesn t exist on the part of the majority of the professionals reflexion and analysis on the professional exercise what disables many times acritical and qualified treatment the necessities of modernity. In this direction,one realizes that the implementation of the ethical-political project, as well as ofthe principles of the Code of 1993, although being present in everyday practiceof the interviewed social workers, it is presented in an indirect form, and stillinsufficient. Finally, when reflecting on this question, an enormous challenge tothe category is glimpsed, because the predominant social relations in thecapitalist society: discrimination, authoritarianism, exclusion, individualism,inequalities, etc., reflected in the institutional space demand a tunedprofessional to the contradictions of the real, to the changes of the society, thatare qualified and with the capacity of searching alternatives for the overcomingof the bourgeois order. |
